Community Support

We supported more than 5,900 low-income, residential customers with more than $770,000 in Good Neighbor Fund bill assistance.

Our crews joined forces with other utilities to connect at least 150 homes on the Navajo Nation (almost 900 homes since 2019) to the electric grid for the first time.

The PNM Power Pros high school program was expanded to grow exposure to careers in the energy industry and build the next generation of line workers.

More than 1,000 local nonprofit organizations received funding through our community grants and corporate giving.

Hundreds of PNM employees and retirees volunteered nearly 10,000 hours throughout our local community.

Electric Vehicles

Our EV program team worked closely with local dealerships to distribute over 220 EV Purchase rebates to income-qualified customers who wanted to get into an EV, with each customer receiving up to $4,000 off the cost of the vehicle.

We supported over 600 customers in their EV journey, providing over $1,000,000 in EV charger and home installation rebates.

Over 25 Multifamily properties, including 6 who serve primarily income-qualified customers, partnered with us to install over 120 charging ports so their tenants can charge their vehicles at home.

Businesses have installed over 160 level 2 charging ports and 71 DC Fast Charging ports for fleet, public, mass transit, or workplace charging.

Our work with customers through the program since 2024 have saved over 800,000 gallons of gasoline to date!

Energy Savings

In 2025, we partnered with local businesses to make energy upgrades to their buildings resulting in over 40 million kWh saved. That's enough to power over 5,100 homes for a year!

We worked with over 120 elementary schools, 25 high schools, and 10 senior centers to teach how energy is generated and the impact energy-efficient behaviors and equipment have on energy use. More than 15,000 kits with energy saving items were distributed to students and seniors in the community.

Over 1,800 homeowners and renters completed free Home Energy Checkups receiving installation or delivery of energy efficient products, a comprehensive report on their home's energy performance, and tips and rebates that can help lower their home's energy use.

Winter Safety

Winter Safety

Winter is here and staying safe and cozy doesn't have to mean higher bills! Lowering your thermostat just a couple of degrees and bundling up in a sweater or blanket can save you 3-5% on energy costs per degree.

Keep the warmth inside by sealing cracks and gaps with weather stripping and caulking, and don't forget to clean or replace furnace filters every three months to keep your system running efficiently. If you use a wood-burning fireplace, schedule an annual chimney cleaning, always use a screen, and never leave fires unattended-plus, make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector installed. Space heaters can be a smart option for targeted warmth, but use them safely: keep flammable items away, choose models with tip-over protection, and remember that frequent use can add up on your bill.
